OOC: Sharing My Gifts

So the last couple days I’ve gotten some gift art from a couple people that I wanted to share! First came from The Lady Myth http://theladymyth.tumblr.com photo tumblr_mjbkjlwBiD1qilx34o1_1280_zps0992485a.png Here you go~~ I tried to make her hair a bit more fancy even though its already wavy but she has nice colors uvu~~<333 I was like, damn! You made her look so pretty! Totally blown away. Then today from a friend of mine Jon http://lifeseekerxl.tumblr.com/ photo tumblr_mjdv2laTPp1r1sn7lo1_1280_zps5280fb6f.jpg I told you them blue girls was trouble~ Spirit Princess attracts the curiosity of Marshall Lee. Which I had to snort because it was so cute and I’ve not shipped Wisp with any canons so it was just funny. So yeah, I’ve been feeling a little down lately and this picked me up! So I wanted to share them with yall.

“Servant for life? I could see how easy that could be to abuse.” Wisp chuckled. She could just picture him having them do all sorts of crazy tasks. “Must have been fun. Well…as long as you know where to draw the line. Don’t want to end up losing friends over a joke.”

As he agreed he needed to be going she nodded. “I should at least come with to make sure you make it home. I mean if you got out there and the sun started to come up or something… well… ” She really was worried he could get stuck in a bad situation. But she hoped it didn’t sound like she was just trying to follow him around like some lost puppy. “Better safe than sorry, right?”

“It was. I made her entertain me by dancing around on her cane and balancing on it. And then I made her cry for me.” He laughs. “Ah, that was good. Fionna was totally suckered.” Marshall grins. “Oh, well, I don’t really know where Fionna’s version of the line is. I just did some pretty hilarious stuff that night. I made her help me break into this lady’s house because she had the reddest bow I’d ever seen, and I just had to have a taste.”

“And then I had her kill this adorable-looking plant. But, the plant wasn’t all that cute after she found out what it really was.” He shakes his head. “She wouldn’t listen to me the first time I told her.”

“Alright, if you want to.” Marshall shrugs. “I could probably make it home pretty quick if I flew there fast enough. I’d just have to make sure not to bump into anything. That could hurt.” Yeah, going eighty miles per hour wasn’t a good idea if you were to collide into something head on. Fortunately, that was his limit.

(Fun fact, Marshall’s fast flying speed is about the speed of a cheetah. If he were really pushing it he could go to about a hundred miles per hour. He doesn’t unless he’s in a hurry and it’s a life-or-death situation. He’s known for being one of the fastest vampires. Not the strongest, but he’s pretty high up on the list.)

((Ah I fail! I thought I replied only to realize today the post never actually showed up X_X))

Wisp found the story rather amusing. Tricking someone into thinking they were doing horrible deeds, only to end up really doing nothing more than messing around. It really sounded more like a game where only one person knew the rules, but no harm was done. “I almost wish I could have see that. I’m sure they had some great looks on their faces.”

She trailed off at that point though. He didn’t need her to help him get home, he could fly. In fact she probably should have known that. A Vampire that didn’t know how to fly was a rare thing, if there was such at all. She tried to hide the slight frown on her face as she nodded and looked off to the side.

"Well, I don’t want to slow you down then. I mean, you don’t really need my to help you get home if you can really go that fast. Just… watch out for trees and low flying birds…"

“Psh, please. I get begged for a lot of things all the time. But people are smart enough not to make deals with me or my mom. Essentially, that’s like making a deal with the devil.” He smirks. “One time Fionna decided to replace my servant-for-life out of the goodness of her heart.” He laughs. “Oh, that was a good night. That was when she and Cake were convinced that I was completely diabolical. It doesn’t work when I try to do the same trick twice.”

“Sun?” Marshall asked. “Yeah, I do have to get home before dawn. Otherwise I could burn to a crisp. Don’t want to stay in here with all these reflecting crystals and whatnot.” He stands up. “Dang, I didn’t think to bring my umbrella. I should be heading off. Unless you wanna escort me, but it really doesn’t matter.”

"Servant for life? I could see how easy that could be to abuse." Wisp chuckled. She could just picture him having them do all sorts of crazy tasks. "Must have been fun. Well…as long as you know where to draw the line. Don’t want to end up losing friends over a joke."

The Flame Game

the-flameprince:

“Huh?”

The prince tilted his head. He has never seen an entity like this before, even in books. Though, his heat sense told him it was a fire entity as well, though not an elemental. Blaze glared at it like a cat would a laser pointer.  ”Eh, Blaze, don’t!” he hissed at the fire lion. The oversized cat just pouted at him and sat down.

“What if… I set it on fire?” he raised an eyebrow at the floating thing as his finger drew near it, as if to poke it.

Well at least she wasn’t pounced. For a second there, she was pretty sure the fiery lion was going to leap at her. However now she was presented with something else to worry about. Set on fire? Was he really just going to try and ignite her? At the same time though, it sure would be interesting to see what would happen. And that’s what she was after; to see how the two types of flames compared.

The blue fireball closed the gap between the prince’s outstretched finger and ghostly flames. Nothing really seemed to happen though. Much like sticking a finger into a lit candle, the wispy flames just engulfed around his hand. It tickled, which could only be expressed by a bobbing and weaving motion. And his hand was warm, unlike her cool flames.

After a few moments she darted back from him, once again just hovering in the air. Strength was returning to her, she just needed a few more minutes and she was sure she could force herself back into her normal form.

The Flame Game

the-flameprince:

Loud purring filled the general area of the pyre. This signaled the start of the day for the prince of the Flame Kingdom. Blaze has always been his alarm clock, and he never fails to wake him up.

The giant fire lion meowed softly at the pyre itself, poking it with his big paws. After a while, it got tired and just pouted at the oversized bonfire. Blaze had an even shorter temper than Flame Prince himself.

A yawn was heard from inside the teepee, and the fire lion smiled. Blaze sat down and started a little bonfire to accompany breakfast. For a bit, the fire of the teepee grew large and trailed to the spot beside the giant fire lion. It was the prince. The young prince stretched his arms before greeting his impatient steed. “What do you want for breakfast?” the prince sang. Blaze cuddled his master’s arm and purred loudly. The prince laughed, and hugged his friend.

The morning felt pretty normal, save for one thing. His heat sense told him another presence was nearby. But he couldn’t exactly see anything. He squinted his eyes and scanned the area. Blaze began meowing as he felt the presence as well.

“Who goes there?!”

AS the blaze on the house flared up, the little wisp darted away just a little, watching as from out it the young man appeared. What luck! She had been searching all over for some fire and she had found not only a house covered in flames but it seemed to be the home of a Fire Elemental and his pet.

The blue flame zipped right over as the prince questioned who was there. She circled the two at a bit of a distance, before stopping to hover near the bonfire. It really was like a prayer answered by Glob. She couldn’t wait to find out more.

But there was a problem. She had used the last of her energy to go into that mode to rest, so she couldn’t snapped herself out of it quite yet. She tried, but other than a momentary and small flare up, she was stuck. The princess just needed to buy herself a little time, just until she could turn back to her normal form. But how was she going to communicate?

Bobbing up and down in the air was really all she could do at the moment. So she would just have to that in a friendly manner. If there really was such a thing. Circling the bon fire once she this time stopped rather close to the prince, hoping he wouldn’t think that she was some sort of strange hostile thing.

king-of-the-nightosphere:

“No.” He said solemnly. “I couldn’t do that to them. Not even if they begged for it.” Marshall bites his lip. “I don’t know how they would be able to cope. Or how the people in Aaa would cope. Having good people live forever isn’t a good thing, because everything has to end sometime, otherwise nothing would ever get started.”

“People need to know that everything has its time. Even for immortal people like us.” He frowns a little. “My friends are young. They don’t have to worry about stuff like that.”

"You have a strong resolve. I’m not sure I could put up with someone begging. It would be so hard to turn them down." She sighed. "But I suppose you’re right. What is it that they say, ‘Die being a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain’… something along those lines."

She closed her eyes and shook her head. “Even the sun will set on us and… the sun!” Wisp quickly snapped out of her quiet mood. “I’ve been having such a good time hanging out with you I forgot about the time!” Of course she didn’t have a watch. “You need to get home before sun up right?”

The Flame Game ((the-flameprince))

Fire. It was a basic element and something used commonly. Whether for cooking or heating, or even against one’s enemies as a weapon. fire was something just about everyone knew about. But not her. Where she came from flames weren’t red hot, they were blue, occasional purple and they were cold. It still burned and did all the functions of fire, but clearly it was different. She was even made out of it. And it was for that reason the Spirit Princess set out, one night, to find fire; to study the difference for herself.

That brought about a dilemma though. She wasn’t sure if her kingdom was on good terms with the Fire kingdom. Or if they had ever been associated at all. So it probably was for the best that she didn’t just got go haunting around the scorched lands the Fire people called home. But where else could she find a good source? She supposed she could find someone’s empty home and go inside to play with their stove, however if she got caught, that wouldn’t look so good as a reflection of her kingdom.

So it was an aimless search,  and one that seemed pretty futile after awhile. Just floating about the and of Ooo hoping that maybe out of some strange chance something would just burst into flame. By the time she was just about ready to give up, the sun was peeking over the horizon.

Tired, Wisp dropped her humanoid form, turning into a wisp of blue flames. She could find a place to hide and rest that way while gaining back some energy. But that’s when she smelled it, smoke and the faint hint of burnt wood. The little ball of fire floated after the scent trail, coming to what appeared to be a house made of continuously burning wood. She darted over to it excitedly, hovering around the flames with interest. Finally, fire!

But who lived in the home the little blue flame was buzzing about?

king-of-the-nightosphere:

“I’ve thought about it.” Marshall says honestly. “Doing something like that when Gumball, Fionna, and the others were gone.” He sighs. “I’ve actually been considering it for a long time now. But I can’t leave.” He has a responsibility to remind a certain someone who they really are. “And I couldn’t do that. Vampires are like vikings. We prefer to die in battle than by taking our own lives.”

“It’s not good to really see taking your life as a cowardly thing, but we really shouldn’t revere it either.” He shrugs. “I’m not scared of Death. Death and I aren’t on very good terms. I’ve been to the Underworld. Multiple times. I’ve died before. It’s nothing too special. It’s when someone does something stupid like bring you back that really gets to me.”

“Let’s put it this way, say someone wrapped a chain onto you while you were flying and then pulled you back down. That’s kind of what it feels like.” Marshall explains. “I’ve had a long time. But I can’t just leave this life without getting the answers that I’m looking for. And I can’t leave my kingdom. Glob knows what would happen.”

He fiddles with a strand of grass. “At the very least, Fionna and Gumball don’t have to worry about me for a long, long time.”

The topic was rather somber, and Wisp sighed looking down a little. She imagined it had to be hard to see people come and go when one was stuck never changing. And in Marshall’s time, he’d probably experienced that a lot. She knew that she too would have to face such things eventually as well. Though he had a different perspective having been dead only to come back.

"If you could, would you find some way to make your friends live forever? Not that there is a way unless they were somehow changed like you… at least I don’t know of any. So hypothetically."

It was an interesting thing to ponder. What if there was a way to make those who wanted live forever. Then again would they even want something like that.

Kiss my muse and see how they react.

king-of-the-nightosphere:

“Yeah, I got that you didn’t spook him off literally.” Marshall said. He didn’t think that Wisp was actually taking his words to heart, but he’d indulge it for now. “I’m only nice because my past was so horrible.” He says quietly. “I’ve seen a lot of things, lost a lot of people. I’ve been on the more desperate side of life.”

“I can’t stand to be mean to someone when they’re going through some of the things that I am, because I understand what it’s like.” Marshall sighs. “People don’t understand anything. They think they do. That they know all there is to know.” He shakes his head. “They’re wrong. If you live to be as old as I am, then you’d understand that we know nothing about life.”

She just nodded. After all he had been around for some time, so it only made sense that he of all people would know what it’s like to be on the hard side of things.

Wisp had to arch a brow at his last remark though. “As old as you?” Perhaps Marshall didn’t know about spirits. “I probably will, if not older. Like I said, I’m young for a spirit… but the way I look now… I haven’t changed since I turned 18… and that’s been 5 years. Spirits can live on and on… I suppose a bit like a vampire. There are things that can kill us, but it’s more or less immortality  In fact, the main way spirits die… well at least the ones that are spirit fire beings like me… they lock themselves away and snuff themselves out. They just get tired of being around I guess. So like a flame with no air to burn, if there is no spirit energy left around, they burn out.”

She sighed and glanced off for a moment. “Pretty morbid really. The best way to find your end is by your own hands. But yeah, I have a long long time ahead of me.”

king-of-the-nightosphere:

Marshall frowned. “I don’t think that he would’ve been scared off if he was a Will-o-Wisp too. There was probably some other reason.” He said. “He said yes, didn’t he? I don’t think that he’d back out after saying yes, since he was a ‘real gentleman’ as you put it.” He found that a little strange.

“Wisp, you don’t have to change to make yourself desirable. Just be you. And if people don’t like that, then that’s their problem, not yours. Someone will love you for who you are someday, and all that matters is that you stay as the person you are and don’t change anything because of anyone else.”

"Well I didn’t mean scared like…boo! I meant like, he realized he agrees to go out on a date with me, panicked and vanished to avoid it." Though Wisp had to admit it sounded silly, but at the same time being stood up wasn’t unheard of. Usually the other didn’t just disappear though.

She was looking down at her feet but when he started to encourage her she looked up with a small smile. Sure, she had heard stuff like it before. Be yourself, don’t worry about what other’s say; but it was easy just to nod and agree to such pep talks.

"You’re really great, you know that, Marshall? For a bad boy you’re a lot nicer than many people I’ve met."

king-of-the-nightosphere:

“Yeah, they are. But, I don’t really stay with them for too long.” He answers. “Pfft, are you kidding? I hang out with PG all the time. He’s a major nerd. That doesn’t seem to change anything.” He snorts. “Don’t worry, if you ever need fashion advice, the best place to go is to Wizard Jill’s. She’s got good taste.”

Marshall blinks. “No.” He answers truthfully. “I wouldn’t have laughed.” He looks at her with a blank expression. “There’s nothing funny in asking someone out. It’s a pretty dense topic, and if I laughed, it just wouldn’t be right.” He shrugs. “I don’t laugh at things like that.”

"I’m sure it would take more than some fashion advice to make me "ms. desirable ." She laughed and shook her head. "I’ve just never been all that good at any of that relationship stuff. I’m pretty sure even if someone was obviously flirting with me, it would go right over my head. I’d never be able to ask someone out….I’d get all tongue tied and flustered." She paused and then wrinkled up her nose. "No wait… I take that back. I tried to ask someone out once."

Wisp looked off to the right and rubbed the back of her head. “I guess that’s why I asked if you would laugh. Not that I got laughed at before. But more because I’m pretty sure I’d come across weird if I even tried. See, I’m kind of a one of a kind in my kingdom. Will-o-Wisps just aren’t all that common. So I was really shocked when one day I was out messing around in a graveyard and I met another. His name was William… and he was a real gentleman.”

She frowned. “He was the first guy I really liked. He was so nice and he made me feel good about myself. After a couple weeks I finally got the courage to ask him to dinner. He said he would come but… then he never showed up. I thought surely there was a reason. So I went out looking for him the next day, and the day after that, and the day after that. I never saw him again. I can’t help thinking it had something to do with me. Like I scared him away or something.”
